				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Finally! After years of day dreaming, work on Bubble Machine III has begun.</p>
<p>We&#8217;re kicking off the build with some concept development funding from the<a href="http://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/sitePage.cfm?code=radf" target="_blank"> Sunshine Coast Council&#8217;s Regional Arts Development Fund</a>.</p>
<p>This funding will contribute to s0me proof of concept work including:</p>
<ul>
<li>A small scale CNC cut acrylic hexapod, with three RC servos per leg providing a platform to dabble with walking gaits fabrication</li>
<li>Parametric model created using <a href="http://www.geomagic.com/en/" target="_blank">Geomagic Design</a>, allowing experimentation with leg geometries and different kinds of motors. I will also 3D print the model (at soccer ball size)</li>
<li>A rough, basic mock up of leg joints at size to test speeds of various motors</li>
<li>One functional full scale leg skeleton at proportion with motors and electronics.</li>
